Creating Balance: Simple Gratitudes

Thanksgiving is a time of reflection on what we have been grateful for throughout the past year. There are many books available that address the benefits of recognizing gratitude on a daily basis. Doing so has proven effective in treating depression, anxiety, stress, and grief and changes the mindset from mostly negative to adding some positive providing a little more balance.

I’ve seen many creative “gratitude” signs in gift stores and at craft shows and although I really like them, many can identify with the words. I wanted to do something a little different in my Creating Balance group with the focus being “simple gratitude”.

Participants discussed what they are grateful and then either painted a picture or words on canvas representing that gratitude. Now, whenever there are stressful times, just look at that beautiful artwork and be reminded of that simple gratitude.

I am always amazed at the power of the creative arts. Creativity helps express our inner thoughts and feelings and gives them meaning. The results were far more than I could ever have imagined!

Insurance: Deductible: You’ll pay the full fee at the time of service. Once your deductible is met you will only have to pay your co-pay.
